Spring Project - Finished

Image
horaaaaaaay! It's finally done :) The scoot is roaring and I could not even finish the drive-in procedure because of the 'silent hour' which starts at 21:00 :/ Anyways, long story short , let's get to pictures: First thing I had to adjust the carb so it idles and starts properly - so this was just for some 20minutes or so :D  Then , afterwards.... I had to remove the fuel till' half of tank  And the reason for that was ,because I had to lower it in order to reach and remove the old piece of... :D potentiometering device called the fuel gauge (that's the old one)  Allrighty then! :) After everything has been replaced and the scooter has been adjusted for proper operation here are some pic's to view and check how the scooter looks :))) bzzzt stealthy black matt' :D Ready2Drive ! :) And that's about it! Mostly the time was spent waiting for the parts to arrive, nevermind that - it was fun to wait and replace everything! Cheers! :)

N' re-jetted carb. for less hassle  those unknown weight rollers are also out of menu :D  A little peek in the process: at this point my hands were getting too oily and I was diving pretty deep in the bolting process so there are no extra pic's ,sorryz. After everything is setted up properly, regulated n stuff - then I'll post the last part where it purrs and some pic's of scooter itself :) Cya !!!

Halllooo, good day, dear reader :) Let's see... Did I just buy a new scooter ,again ? :D  khh, of course I did! :) Because I love to get my hands dirty and spend time in the garage just' fixin' stuff Computers, electronics and stuff are fun also , but don't know why... - this oily, screw threaded theme kinda submerges me more in the liking. Hard to say why , but da' hell , it's nothing bad ;) So I just enjoy it. So a short intro follows: Bought this little kumoss at dirt cheap money (incl. diesel and trailer rent) , as I see by registration data I'm the third owner for this thing. It has been staying for 1,5.years without any real usage, outside, thankfully under a cover. The visual condition.... Weelll , not the worst , but not the best also! You may be the judge: yyep, as mentioned: not the worst not the best. Anyhow , I disassembled some of the plastic parts and also other stuff away from the body later on.  Also , did an ultrasonic cleaning on the screws ...

O Ya. It's been a while since my last post.. So Intro apart - I do did change the transmission and engine block bearings :) Also brought some goodies for a swap. You'll see the story below I had to buy tool kit just specially to remove the old bearings...                                                            Rear Engine part (old one's) Transmission block with old one's OUT with the old one's Out with these aswell And as for installation I used some grease and hair dryer  ,also adding a hammer - nothing beats this combination :D The whole engine had to be taken out of the frame for better access Also,I did re-jet the carburetor instead of 102 I swapped it with 92 Oh Yes, and the final info: I did buy a new Stator,New Starter Engine,New Bendix,New kick-start spring , New transmission oil and intake isolator for the upgraded ...

Summer project: Turbho RB-50 Retro Scooter PART#3 FINAALE

Oh daym... I got way too tired of the tune up's ... I did replace the stator just this morning. Old vs New (notice that they are different) Let's not mention that the old stator's impulse 'sensor' was really worn and the poles were fouled with mud and dirt :D check it: Mehh, also the wiring was different on these two , but I did some tricks and managed to wire everything properly. In the conclusion: Yess, the old part can be thrown in the trash box with rest of the old parts AND Yes!!! The scooter performs now even much better, but I still have the 'bogging' sound present.... I took out the plug and turns out I'm running too Rich ..... What can I suggest.... Order jets for the new carb  and re-jet ? Right? That's what I thought too... :)
